We are one of the oldest travel agencies
in Malaysia that has started offering our
travel services since 1948. Bousteadtravel.com
is a website solely managed by us that is
meant to serve our customers in Malaysia
and all around the world. The Web site allows
you to make your travel arrangement with
us at any time, from anywhere.
Reservations
In General
How do I pay?
Generally, your credit card details are
needed to secure a reservation as soon as
possible. We do not rule out the possibility
of paying in cash but it will not guarantee
your reservation until full payments have
been made to us.
How much time in advance do I need
to book?
It depends on the travel product and its
availability. To be on the safe side, try
making your bookings at least 10 –
14 working days in advance.
Do I need to pay any processing
fee?
NO processing fee will be charged for reservations
requested or confirmed but you will be charged
3% for your credit card transactions. However,
please take note of surcharges that may
be imposed by suppliers during certain period.
Can I make changes to my reservations/itinerary?
Yes, you may do so but it is subject to
amendment fees. You may change your reservations
by contacting us via e-mail or phone calls.
If your reservations have been fully paid
for, you will need to cancel the booking
(subject to cancellation fees) and make
a new booking. To know if you can be refunded
fully or partially depends on the Cancellation
and Refund policies of the particular product
you purchased.
Airline Reservations
How do I book my flights?
You may make your flight reservations through
emails or telephone calls.
How will I receive my confirmation?
You will receive your booking confirmation
through e-mails or our Travel Consultant
who will contact you.
How will I receive my air tickets?
You may collect your tickets from our offices
or request BTS to courier it to you.
Will I be charged once my bookings
are confirmed?
Yes, in order to secure your bookings, full
payment must be made. Therefore, you need
to make an arrangement for the full payment
to be made once your bookings are confirmed.
Our travel consultant will notify you on
your confirmed seats and the total amount
due.
Can I possibly hold the seats without
any payments?
No, flight seats are always in great demand.
As such, your full payment is needed to
secure the seats you requested.
Is my ticket refundable or transferable?
Your ticket is not transferable. Refunds
are subject to terms and conditions of the
particular air fare applied.
Can I still reschedule my flight
itinerary after my ticket has been issued?
You can do so but it is subject to terms
and conditions of the applied airfares.
Is accumulation of frequent flyers
points allowed when I booked from BTS?
Accruement of Frequent Flyers Points is
subject to the type of airfares or the terms
and conditions of the respective airlines.
You may call up your preferred airline to
obtain more information about their programme.
Are airport taxes and fuel surcharge
included in the prices of the air tickets
published on the website?
Airport and all other taxes are not included.
You may e-mail or call us for more details
of the airport taxes and fuel surcharge
as different airports/airlines impose different
rates which are subject to the air transportation
rules imposed by its respective government/airline.
Is my air fare guaranteed as published
after I made a flight booking?
No, the fare is not guaranteed until your
ticket is issued. If there is a difference
in fare at the time when you booked and
the issuance of your ticket, our consultant
will inform you of the changes immediately.
How can I apply for my visa?
We will assist you on your visa application
with a minimum service fee. Visa application
fees due to embassies will have to be borne
by customers. However, please take note
that approval of visa is subject to the
authorization of embassies.
How do I request for special meals?
You may indicate it on the request form
under special remarks.
Can an infant travel along with
me?
Yes. An infant is between the ages of 1
month – 24 months old who will not
require a flight seat. An adult is allowed
to bring only one infant.
Accommodation
Reservations
How do I book my accommodation?
You may make an online reservation and payment
by submitting your credit card details.
How do I cancel the reservations
I have made?
You are strongly encouraged to call us immediately
once you have decided to cancel the bookings.
Alternately, you may email us.
What type of room do I book?
Generally, there are 3 types of rooms.
- A single room allows accommodation for
1 adult with one single bed.
- A twin room allows accommodation for
2 adults with either 2 single beds, a
king-size bed or a queen-size bed.
- A triple room allows accommodation
for 3 adults. You can choose either 2
single beds with a rollaway, a king-size
bed with a rollaway and a queen size bed
with a rollaway.
What does “Run of House”
mean?
It means a standard room. However, if standard
rooms are unavailable, you can be upgraded
to a deluxe room at no extra charges.
What does “Seaview”
mean?
It means you can view the sea from your
room.
Why do hotel rates differ at different
times?
Rates differ due to high or low season.
High season normally falls during the period
of school holidays, public holidays, trade
fairs, exhibitions or conferences. This
is the time when hotels have high occupancy
rate. On the other hand, you will stand
a higher chance to have your room confirmed
during low season.
Do I need to reconfirm my reservations
with the hotel?
No. Once your hotel is confirmed through
us and full payment has been made, you need
not reconfirm anymore.
Can I book hotels that are not
listed on your web site?
You can definitely do that. We may have
a lot more hotels which are not published
on the website. If you do have a particular
hotel in mind, please send in your request
using our enquiry form online.
What should I do if I have not
received my booking confirmation after 48
hours?
When you made a reservation through bousteadtravel.com,
your reservations will be transmitted either
directly to the suppliers or in-house reservations
officer. If you have not received any reply
from us via e-mails, it means that your
booking is still on waitlist.
Tour Reservations
How do I book a tour?
You can submit the booking request form
to us via email or make a call to us.
I could not find the tour that
I want, can I book a tour not listed on
the website?
Yes, you can book tours that are not published
on our website. We can also customize a
tour for you; just send in your request
through our enquiry form.
Cancellations
& refunds
What happens if I missed my trip
and failed to cancel my trip, will my credit
card be charged?
Cancellation period differs from one product
to another product. If you failed to cancel
your reservations within the given cancellation
period, your credit card will be charged
regardless of whether you use the product
or not.
What are the cancellation fees?
The cancellation fees are subject to the
followings:
- The product policy of owners/suppliers
- Supplier Handling charges
- Bank/Finance charges
Travel Voucher
& Receipt
How do I get my travel voucher
& receipt?
You can either collect your travel voucher
and receipt from one of our offices or request
to have it couriered to you.
